Italian furniture sourcing in Oakville tends to arrive as a bigger question than one room. The projects we get asked about here are usually whole houses, or substantial renovations of them, where the furniture, the doors, the surfaces and the bathrooms are all being decided in the same few months by the same few people. That is a coordination problem more than a shopping problem, and it is the reason a house furnished room by room so often ends up looking like it was.
Can you coordinate a whole house rather than single rooms?
Yes, and it is the more useful way to work. Selections across rooms are made against one another rather than in isolation, so timber tones, metal finishes and stone choices are decided as a set instead of accumulating by accident.
Furnishing a house one room at a time feels manageable and produces a predictable result: six rooms that each work and do not speak to each other. The brass in the kitchen is warmer than the brass in the powder room. The oak in the study reads pink next to the oak on the doors.
Working whole-home means the schedule is built first and the orders come second. Rooms still get decided in an order, but they get decided against a fixed palette rather than against whatever was chosen last.

How do finishes stay consistent across rooms?
By recording one approved reference per material and specifying against it everywhere. A timber, a metal and a stone reference are agreed early, then each order is checked back to those rather than chosen fresh each time.
Different manufacturers name the same colour differently, and a walnut from one factory is not a walnut from another. That is not carelessness, it is just how the trade works, and it is why matching by name never survives contact with a delivery.

Can you review a specification our designer has already written?
Yes. A specification review checks availability, dimensions, finish options, technical suitability and what can realistically be sourced together, then flags the items likely to cause a problem later. It does not require us to touch the design itself.
Plenty of Oakville projects arrive with the design already done, and the studio simply wants to know whether the schedule will survive procurement. That is a legitimate piece of work on its own and does not require us to touch the design.
A review typically returns:
Items that are available as specified, with current manufacturer data attached.
Items available only in different dimensions or finishes, with the closest alternatives.
Items that would need a custom order, and what that changes about timing.
Items we would argue against on technical grounds, with the reason stated.
How are samples approved before an order?
Samples are requested for the exact references under consideration and reviewed in the room they are destined for, in its own daylight. The approved sample is then recorded against the item, and nothing is ever ordered from a screen image.
On a whole-home project the sample stage carries more weight than on a single room, because a wrong call propagates. Approving a timber for the doors is also approving it for everything specified to match the doors.
Which categories does a whole-home package usually cover?
Furniture, doors and wall panelling, tiles and slabs, and bathroom furniture make up the core of most whole-home scopes. Lighting, wallcoverings, rugs and art are added where the project wants them coordinated rather than sourced separately later.
You do not have to take all of it. Some Oakville clients want the built-in elements coordinated and would rather choose their own loose furniture, which is a perfectly reasonable split and easier to manage than the reverse.
