On a custom build, the gap between deciding something and receiving it can run to the better part of a year. People change, memories drift, and an email thread from March is not a specification.

Can you match finishes across furniture, doors and surfaces?
Within limits, and we will tell you where the limits are. Different manufacturers use different materials and processes, so an exact match across brands is not always achievable. A deliberate contrast usually beats a near miss.
This is where being straight with a client earns its keep. A timber door finish and a timber furniture finish from two different Italian factories can be extremely close and still visibly different in daylight, because the substrate and the lacquer are not the same.
When that happens there are honest options, and hoping is not one of them. What does not work is specifying a match, waiting nine months, and discovering the answer on site.
Source both items from a single manufacturer, where one range covers both.
Choose a deliberate contrast that reads as intentional rather than as a failed match.
Match both to a third element, such as the flooring, so neither is chasing the other.
Accept a difference that only shows under artificial light, and record it as a decision rather than a surprise.
Which brands and categories are available?

Built-in categories get decided first because they are the hardest to change once the build is underway. Loose furniture can wait, and usually should.
How long does the specification stage take?
It depends on scope and on how quickly approvals come back, not on us. A single room can be specified in days. A whole custom build is a matter of weeks, most of which is sample approval rather than selection.
The stage that stretches is almost always finish approval, and almost always for good reason. Rushing it produces the expensive kind of mistake, so we would rather a schedule sat open an extra fortnight than closed on a finish nobody had held.

Samples are requested per reference. Deliveries are sequenced against the construction programme. Aftercare, including parts and finish queries, is handled through us.
Do you provide the schedule as a document we can keep?
Yes. The schedule is yours, and it stays useful after handover as the record of what was installed, which matters for replacements and repairs years later.
Can you work from our architect’s drawings?
Yes, and it is the fastest way to start. Drawings answer most of the questions a first conversation would otherwise spend an hour establishing.
