Toronto has no shortage of Italian furniture showrooms, and if you want to sit on a sofa before you buy it, go to one. We are a different kind of Italian furniture supplier in Toronto: no display floor, no retail markup on the pieces we represent, and no interest in taking your client away from you. What we do instead is specification and supply for the people who already have the project, which in this city usually means a designer, an architect or a developer working somewhere with a loading dock and a very specific elevator.
No. We work across Toronto from our Mississauga office, which you are welcome to visit by appointment, and there is no display floor in either place. Products are chosen from manufacturer catalogues and physical samples brought to you instead.
Worth being blunt about, because it changes what we are useful for. A showroom is a retail proposition: it holds stock, it displays a curated slice of a range, and it sells at a retail price with a trade discount for professionals.
We represent manufacturers instead. That means the whole catalogue is available rather than the pieces someone chose to floor, finishes are not limited to what is in the building, and there is no showroom overhead priced into the item. The trade-off is real and you should know it going in: you cannot walk in off a Toronto street and sit on things. Samples come to you, or you come to the Mississauga office by appointment.
We sit behind the studio, not in front of it. You keep the client, the design and the presentation. We supply the product research, manufacturer technical data, CAD pricing and the import coordination, then step back.
The fear a Toronto studio has about bringing in a supplier is straightforward: that the supplier will end up talking to the client directly and the studio will be cut out of its own project. Fair concern, and common enough in this trade.
So the working arrangement is fixed:
Quotes go to the studio, in the studio’s name, for the studio to present.
We do not contact your client unless you introduce us and ask us to.
Technical documents arrive in a form you can drop into a specification package.
Where a product cannot do what the drawing asks, we say so early rather than at the order stage.
Aftercare requests come back through you, or direct, whichever you prefer.
The wider trade offer, including retailer supply and brand representation, sits on the professionals and retailers page.
By checking the building before the order, not after. Elevator dimensions, booking rules, loading-dock hours, corridor turns and unit doorways are all confirmed against the actual product dimensions, while the specification can still change without costing anything.
This is where Toronto differs from almost everywhere else we work. A three-seat sofa that fits the room perfectly can still be undeliverable, because the service elevator is 2,130mm deep and the piece is not sectional. Finding that out after an Italian factory has built it to order is an expensive way to learn the lesson.
The checks below happen before we recommend committing to an order. None of them are exotic; they are just easier to do early than late.
| Check | Why it matters | Usually confirmed by |
|---|---|---|
| Service elevator dimensions | Sets the largest single piece that can reach the unit. | Building management or property manager |
| Elevator booking rules | Many buildings restrict moves to set days and time windows. | Condo corporation or concierge |
| Loading dock height and access | Determines whether a container or a smaller vehicle is needed. | Site visit or building documents |
| Corridor and doorway clearances | A piece can clear the lift and still fail at the unit door. | Drawings, checked on site |
| Protection and insurance requirements | Some buildings require both before a booking is granted. | Condo corporation |
Where a piece will not make it in one part, we look for a modular or knock-down version of the same design before we look for a different design. Most of the manufacturers we represent build made to order, so the sensible question is what they can do, not what is in stock.
Twenty three Italian and European manufacturers across ten product categories, spanning upholstery, dining and bedroom furniture, doors, surfaces, bathroom and wellness systems, lighting, office furniture, wallcoverings and art. Every one of them reaches Toronto projects through us.
For a Toronto residential project the brands below tend to come up first, though the right answer depends entirely on the drawing in front of us.
Both come from the manufacturer for your specific selection and finish, then get quoted in Canadian dollars with freight and customs coordination included in the scope. We do not publish generic lead times, because they do not survive contact with a real order.
Every made-to-order line has a different production window, and it moves with the finish, the fabric and the season. An August order and a January order for the same sofa are not the same order. So the number you get is the one the factory gives for your configuration, at the time you ask.
You send the selection, or we build one from the drawings.
We ask the manufacturer for current lead time and pricing on that exact configuration.
The quote comes back in Canadian dollars, with the production window stated on it.
You approve, and the production slot is booked at that point rather than held speculatively.
If you want the general mechanics of buying from Europe, duties included, our guide on how to buy Italian furniture in Canada covers it properly.

Decorative and project lighting from the Italian manufacturers we represent in Canada, suited to residential interiors, hospitality spaces and commercial fit-outs. Technical data and lead times are available on request.
Interior doors, glass partitions and wall paneling systems from Italian manufacturers we represent in Canada. Bespoke sizes, finishes and hardware are configured per project, with technical drawings supplied for site coordination.

A shortlist, not the whole portfolio. We represent 23 Italian and European manufacturers, and the right one depends on the drawing rather than on the list.
Tell us the project type, the product categories you need and your timing. We will come back with a shortlist, manufacturer technical data and pricing in Canadian dollars. If a specification is already written, send it and we will review it.
